Thank you Father, for the instructions you give in your Word for how to care for the poor.
We ask you to give business owners and managers ideas on how to meet the needs of the poor in our city. May we practice the modern equivalent of leaving our gleanings for the poor. We pray in particular for the businesses that serve in the poorer parts of town. Please protect them from those who would steal and destroy and bless them with the ability to meet the needs of their neighborhoods while operating at a profit so that they can remain in business.
