“The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing” –. Zephaniah 3:17
Lord, you quiet us with your loud singing. We are in awe of your passion for us. Show the artist how to paint, sing, dance this passion. Help the Creatives in our community to communicate clearly, your relentless love. Give them the revelation that you are in their midst. Show them your mighty, saving hand. Give Creatives the hunger to communicate these truths about you in simple ways. Give life-giving artists open doors in our community.
“I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye.” Psalms 32:8
Thank you, Father, for the Department of Human Services’ Center on Fathering and the programs they have to teach men with criminal and/or domestic violence histories how to change the way they relate to their children.
We pray for divine empowerment of their programs to change lives for good. May these fathers who have failed turn their lives around and become a source of life, love, guidance, and provision for their kids. Give the instructors and counselors divine wisdom to speak into the lives of their clients so that they and their families can be transformed.
“So do not fear, for I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
“God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
Father, we pray that fear be banished from military families. Fear opens the door to the finest the enemy can bring. Love is the opposite…Help us to realize that You’re in control and may our emotions follow accordingly. Help us to leave our loved ones in Your capable hands and live like the children You called us to be…free, loving, and laughing.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.” Isaiah 9:6
Father God, we ask You to show us Your new Kingdom governmental ways, and show us how to apply these here on this earth. Light a new spark of Your divine wisdom and creativity into the governmental offices of Colorado Springs. We ask for Your new wine to fall on the governmental leaders of this City. Cover this City with a fresh anointing delivered straight from Your throne room, oh Lord!
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. –Ps 23:2-3
Father God, we pray for all the students in our city on spring break this week. We pray that You would give them rest where they are weary and restoration where they need renewed energies to return to their studies and other activities. We also pray for safety for the students and their families who are traveling for a vacation away from our city.
“Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Thank you Father, that you sanctify our lives so that all we do can be sacred and included in your Kingdom.
We pray that our city’s business people would have new insight into how to run their businesses as Kingdom enterprises–how to express your character and purposes, to conduct business according to your ways, and to have you work in and through everything they do. May they be businesses that are focused as much on doing good as they are on making a profit; enterprises where Jesus is Lord and His Kingdom is built through the products and services provided.
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” –Rom 12:4-5
Father God, we pray that your Church in this city would be a united army with all members knowing their places of authority and service and to whom they are to be mostly closely connected. We pray that all will be equipped and trained to fulfill their particular callings as we all work together with one heart, one goal, one King.
