“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18
Thank you Father, that your heart is turned towards those in need and that you give us the spirit of adoption.
We pray for those kids that are living in foster homes and ask that you would come to them with comfort, healing, and protection. May the gaps in their development be filled, may they receive love from their foster families, may they be protected from further harm, and may their birth families be healed and reconciled.
“I AM the Resurrection and the Life.” Jn. 11:25
We say “LIVE” over our soldiers today and “STOP” to the enemy’s schemes to steal, kill, and destroy. The life Father gave each of us is precious. Cause our troops here and in theater to be keenly aware of their battle buddies’ behavior. Let them “see” who is suffering to such an extent that suicide is being contemplated. Make a hand extended in love and compassion be part of the military motto of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, and integrity. May these values never be forgotten in peace time and in war.
“You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.” Psalm 139:1
Father God, we bring before You the Colorado Springs Police Department and the questioning of some of their policies, spending of time and funds, and the other issues that the Police Department is being scrutinized for at this time. Lord, You know whether what they are being scrutinized for is in the right or in the wrong – we ask you to bring the truth out into the light either way. We know that the majority of our police officers are good men and women with a tough job to do. Let our police officers not become discouraged and dishearten in their jobs, oh Lord.
“Make your ear attentive to skillful and godly Wisdom and incline and direct your heart and mind to understanding.” –Prov 2: 2
Father God, we pray for our city’s high school students. Lead them to skillful and godly Wisdom, and protect them from the snares of foolishness and folly. Stir within them a desire to get understanding about how to live, work, and play in ways that please you and prepares them for good futures. Surround them with teachers, parents, coaches and mentors who know how to speak wisdom and understanding into their lives.
No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13
Thank you Father, that you have exposed the lies of the enemy that tell us that we must provide for ourselves and scramble for wealth in order to be secure or successful. Thank you that you are our provider, the one who makes sure we have all we need, and the one who measures and determines our success.
May the business people of Colorado Springs be set free from service to mammon and empowered to serve the living God through their business activities. Let our eyes be opened to the deception of mammon so that we are no longer caught up in the excessive desire for money and wealth — that is, greed. Let us be aware of the evil that comes from the love of money and let our hearts be captured by the love of God. Lord, give us your perspective on how to conduct our business and empower us to be your representatives and carriers of your kingdom.
Thanks to Johnny Enlow for insights on this topic in his book The Seven Mountain Prophecy
But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Luke 10:29

‘Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.’ Genesis 1:26-27
Father, thank you for your original plan for husbands and wives to walk in partnership as rulers over your creation. We pray that you would give couples in our city the close bond and full partnership that Adam and Eve had in the garden. May they lay down their lives for one another and reap the full blessing that you bestow on that kind of love.
