“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36
Bowe Bergdahl, a 25 year old Army Sergeant, has been a prisoner of the Taliban for the past three years. A prisoner of war that our government has forgotten about…but God, You haven’t.
We storm heaven on his behalf so Bowe can return home to his family.
Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. AMEN.
“They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Lord God, as we remember our brave military men and women this week, we also remember our City’s brave firefighters and police officers. Anoint them, and their spouses, to withstand the rigors their special calling requires of them. Renew them in Your strength, oh God.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” –Luke 2:52
Father God, we pray for our region’s young people as they head into summer vacation. We ask that they would have positive friendships among their peers and that they would choose their activities wisely that they might develop in wisdom and stature. We also ask that they would have good relationships with their families and mentors (coaches, youth leaders, etc.) We pray for safety for those who are traveling near and far.
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Father, today we remember those who have paid the ultimate price in service to our country.
We pray for comfort for the families who have lost loved ones and we ask you to remind us to honor all who have given all.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . and love your neighbor as yourself.” –Mark 12:30-31
Father God, we pray that your Kingdom people in this region would have undivided hearts in their love for you. We also ask that many neighbors, co-workers and friends in this region would be encouraged by the love of the Christ-followers around them.
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” –Matt 16
Lord, allow your artists to understand the tools they hold in their hands. Give them a greater revelation of the power of their words. Send your artist-workers into all places in the city to proclaim your Word. Lead them to loose and bind with wisdom and power. Let the artists’ minds be bound to the mind of Christ and their tongues be loosed to speak grace and truth.
“My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.” Song of Songs 2:10-12
Thank you Father for the gift of marriage and the couples that are preparing for their weddings this summer.
We ask you to bless their relationships during this time of anticipating and planning. Draw them into your presence, giving them your peace, your wisdom, your righteousness, and your special gifts of grace so that they start their lives together on a firm foundation.
