“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord
And whose trust is the Lord.
For he will be like a tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought
Nor cease to yield fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
Lord God, today we pray for the reservoir system in Security-Widefield: Fountain Valley Reservoir #2, A McCray Reservoir, Fountain Valley Reservoir #3, Big Johnson Reservoir, and Little Johnson Reservoir. As these reservoirs are very strategic to our region’s water supply, we pray for protection for the system so our water would continue to be sanitary and sufficient for our local needs. We pray for those responsible to oversee the system, asking that they would have discernment and foresight about any potential problems, and wisdom in maintaining successful operation of the system.

Father God, there is nothing better than being where you are revealing your presence and tangibly moving in people’s lives. We ask that our city would become a place where your presence dwells; a place where people sense you are near and are healed, transformed, called, and sent out as emissaries of your Kingdom. Establish your government here!

for I opened my doors to the traveler.” Job 31:32
Lord God, we pray for the prosperity of the Colorado Springs Airport and for safety for the many people that fly in and out of it. As airlines merge, deal with bankrupcy and plan cutbacks, we pray that our city’s airport would have favor with regional airlines for regular non-stop and connecting flights. We also ask for an airline to establish a hub here and that it would prosper.
