  • Pray for closing of local businesses that knowingly support human trafficking

He will rescue the poor when they cry to him;
he will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them.
He feels pity for the weak and the needy,
and he will rescue them.
He will redeem them from oppression and violence,
for their lives are precious to him. Psalms 72:12-14

  • Thank God for local strategies to combat human trafficking.
  • Pray for the effective local administration of releasing sex customer information and that the media will cooperate with and support this effort.

“The Colorado Springs Police Department is dedicated to combating Human Trafficking and working for the best possible outcome for the victims of this crime. Research has identified one approach that has proven to be effective in reducing the demand for commercialized sex.  This approach is the public release of sex customer’s information. In an effort to reduce the demand for the commercial sex trade, the names, photographs, and other public record information for those arrested for Soliciting for Prostitution will be released upon conviction occurring after January 1, 2015. The information will be made available, as a public record, to local news media outlets. It is our sincere hope that this will result in a reduction in victimization of Human Trafficking.” –Jan. 15, 2015 report

“Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.” Ephesians 5:11

Since inception, investigations have resulted in the seizure of $1216.00 worth of narcotics and $94,354.00 in cash.”  —Jan. 15, 2015 report
