We pray for the families that are apart..

“For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit.” 1 Corinthians 5:3

Thank you Father that you are everywhere, all at once.

We pray for the families that are separated by distance due to work or other obligations. Please strengthen the bonds between them while they are apart, visit them where they are with your presence, fill them with your Spirit to keep them close to you and to each other. Give them things to share when they can talk and bless their coming together again when the separation is over.

Send your Holy Spirit upon our Military men & women

Acts 2 The Message

A Sound Like a Strong Wind

1-4 When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force—no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them.”

41-42That day about three thousand took him at his word, were baptized and were signed up. They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.

43-43Everyone around was in awe—all those wonders and signs done through the apostles!

Holy Spirit of the Living God, just as you came  as tongues of fire upon your disciples in ancient days, send again the Mighty wind of Your Spirit upon those who desire more of You.  Thank you for  baptizing SGT David Riddle, (photographed above) of Ft. Carson Warrior Transition Battalion, into Your Holy Spirit.  Let Your holy fire fall upon our military service members that they might see Your face and behold Your glory.  May You joy to manifest Your power through signs, miracles, and wonders within all the ranks and tribes of all of our Troops.

Shine your light on all our government officials…

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior.” 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Father God, shine Your light of Glory down upon the government officials of our City. Let the bright light of Your Glory invade every City governmental office, conference room, City Council Chambers, the City Administration Building, every Fire Station and Police Station in town, the Police Operations Center, the Fire Department Headquarters, the Memorial Healthcare System, Colorado Springs Utilities, and every other entity connected to our City’s government. Bring any evil, hidden things out into the light, for all to see. May Your Glory light reveal the attempted misdeeds of anyone working for the City. And bless the many Christians who are working for You in our City government – anoint their efforts to impact our beloved City for YOU!!!

Bless the curriculum writers…

StudyingHold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Proverbs 4:13

Thank you Father for the people who know how to organize information and techniques to guide the teaching of our children.

We pray that you would inspire them with the principles and truths of your Kingdom as they apply to the different subjects. May your ways be included in the curricula and may the teaching methods spark a hunger for truth that leads people to you.

Thank you for answered prayer…

Help Wanted14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15

Thank you, Father, for answering our prayer for help for the unemployed.

Employers in the Springs are planning to hire and unemployment has dropped here in the Springs.

Praise you for your goodness!

We pray for restoration…

Networking“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?” Matthew 18:12

Father, we have heard it said that restoration precedes reformation. We pray that you would restore the believers who have become orphaned and unattached from your body of believers in the city. Heal those in need of healing, correct those that have gone astray, and reconnect them into the church. Make the church a family and not an orphanage.

We pray for our city’s worship leaders…

Worship leaders2 Praise the LORD with the harp;
   make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 Sing to him a new song;
   play skillfully, and shout for joy.
-Psalm 33:2-3

Father, thank you for our city’s worship leaders, who offer their talents and creativity in service to you and your worshipers.

We pray that you would give then a fresh voice, fresh inspiration and a fresh revelation. Use them to draw people into your presence and into your kingdom.
