Open Doors for Sharing Jesus 5

City Transformation: Open Doors for Entering the Kingdom

  • Pray for believers to use their spheres of influence to give a compelling witness for the truth of who Jesus is.  May doors open to use media and leadership positions to articulate and demonstrate the culture of the Kingdom of heaven.

The time is ripening for a new wave of people coming into relationship with Jesus and genuine faith in Him as Savior and Lord.  Paul asked, “pray for us that God may open a door to us for the Gospel, to proclaim the mystery concerning Christ” (Col 4:3), and Paul and Barnabas returned from one of their missionary trips and “declared all that God had accomplished with them and how He had opened to the Gentiles a door of faith” (Acts 14:27).

We want to pray for doors to open in our city for sharing the truth about Jesus and receiving that truth.

  • Pray for believers to have wisdom and graciousness while sharing Jesus and communicating the truth in the marketplace of ideas.

  • Pray for believers to have creative and fresh ways of sharing Jesus that connects with people outside the Church culture.  Pray that they would be perceptive about how others hear what Christians are saying.

  • Pray for believers to grow in their love for those who don’t follow Jesus and to be inspired in how to effectively share the truth of Jesus with them.

Prosperity of Health

City Transformation: Healing

  • Pray for a decrease in the need for physical, mental and emotional health care in our city because of an increase in supernatural healing and a greater measure of God’s blessing of health. Also pray III John 2, “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.”

Colorado Springs and its surrounds has historically been a place where people from near and far have sought healing.  Early in its history, the area’s natural springs were believed to be curative, and more tangibly, the city hosted a TB sanatorium in a building currently part of the UCCS campus. Some have declared that healing is in the redemptive purpose of Colorado Springs.

Prophetic voices across the nation have spoken of a new visitation of supernatural healing, which has not been operative in this country since the passage of Roe v. Wade.  In Colorado specifically, Graham Cooke prophesied: “Behold the water level is rising and the place of healing is rising with it. Miracles, signs, wonders, and the raising of the dead to life.  All things are possible in the river of my blessing” (Aug. 2012).

We want to continue praying for the fulfillment of this prophesy, not only in spiritual and church gatherings, but also in the medical facilities across the region.

Provision for Care

City Transformation: Healing

  • Pray for those who need critical medical care and don’t have insurance or have been denied coverage for what they need.  Pray for God’s supernatural healing and financial provision for procedures which assist that healing.
