We pray for the Renaissance Forum…

“Lord, you give me stability and prosperity; you make my future secure.” Psalms 16:5

Father, we pray for the Renaissance Forum, meeting here in the city on November 3 to discuss strategies for improving the economy on the local, regional and national level.

We ask you to give them clarity and wise strategies for providing for the needs of people in a way that is just, righteous, and sustainable over the long term.

Teach us to walk in the joy of your Spirit…

“Silver and gold, I have none; but what I do have, that I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, WALK!

O Jesus, the world desperately needs to see the reality of You and Father as a team. Until You return, download into us the “WE” factor. Show us that it is not us that’s alive but the Holy Spirit inside us, so we’re a team also. May we expect Your words to come out of our mouths at all times. If we’re dead, who else would be speaking? With this great expectation comes great joy. So anoint us with the oil of joy until we can laugh at the enemy’s temporary disruptions to the life You died to restore to us. Amen.

May you hear a sound that pleases you…

A Song Rising...“In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:  We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts.” Isaiah 26:1

Lord, let a song go up from our city that declares your strength and salvation. Release your new song to the singers, musicians, composers and even those who whistle while they work. Let all creation praise you from this place. For those who teach music in our schools, lead them to choose pieces that teach Kingdom principles and do not promote immoral ideas. As children play in the streets let them sing of your goodness and of your marvelous works. May you hear a sound that pleases you.

We pray for single mothers…

“He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.”  Luke 1:53

Thank you, Father, for your heart to those who are in tough situations.

We pray for your blessing on the single mothers in our city.  Please provide for them and their children, protect them from harm, and supply them with your love and your fatherly presence.  Connect the children with the righteous and good father figures they need.  Bring husbands to the single moms who will love them and adopt their children as their own.  Fill in the gaps that are left from broken promises and commitments unfulfilled.

Give our soldiers hope…

“Eat honey, my sons (and daughters), for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste. Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off” (Prov. 24:13-14).

Father, many of our Troops despair for lack of hope.  Let the promise of Your Word over the souls of our Troops fill them with faith & hope for the future.

Lord, You alone know the plans you have for our men and women in uniform, plans of peace, and not of evil, plans to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Guide the selection of the next police chief…

“Select wise and practical men, those known among your tribes, whom I may appoint as your leaders.” Deuteronomy 1:13

Lord God, move through the panel of people responsible for reviewing candidates for our City’s new Police Chief. Bring them Your wisdom, insight and discernment as they sort through the information on the various candidates. Let them notice the things that they need to see – bring to the surface the important info – to their natural and spiritual eyes. Cause them to perceive correctly, so that the best candidate to become the new Police Chief of Colorado Springs rises to the top of the panel’s choices.

Gather and meet with our spiritually hungry youth . . .

When I have been lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people toward me.” –John 12:32
We ask you, Lord, that you would draw the youth of our region to You and that you would connect them for healing, transformation, and equipping to gatherings such as OUTCRY being held this Saturday evening.  We pray that our spiritually hungry youth would seek You in the fullness of Your Glory and cry out for an awakening to sweep the city of Colorado Springs and the surrounding region.
