Bring your government and peace to our city . . .

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. . . . Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.” –Is 6, 7

Lord Jesus, as our city government leaders bring this year of city business to a close and prepare for the beginning of a new year of city business, we pray you would grant them wisdom and integrity in their dealings.   May the increase of Your government and the peace that it brings be coming to our city in greater measure that everyone who lives here would prosper and live in harmony for the benefit of all.
