We pray for the voters…

“When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices.” Proverbs 11:10

Thank you Father for the freedom to elect our leaders and to run for office regardless of religion, family connections, race, gender or political views.

We pray for the upcoming city elections as people receive their ballots in the mail this week.  We ask you to shine your light on all of the candidates so we can clearly see who they are and what they believe in. We ask you to move on the hearts of the voters to select the best person for the job at this point in our city’s history.

Guide us as well as we vote for changes to the city charter.  Give us your wisdom on how to adjust the rules under which we govern the city so that the righteous may prosper, the unrighteous be brought to justice, and the downtrodden be lifted up.
