“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” Galatians 3:13
Father, in this fallen world, many children suffer because of the sins of their parents. They are wounded, abused, hungry, and unable to walk in your blessings because of what their parents did. In many ways, they are cursed due to the sins of their parents.
We pray, Father, that through the blood of Jesus, you would break the curses on the families of our city; that the children would find you, be healed of their wounds, and be delivered from the sin and punishment of their parents. May they walk free, rise up, and claim the blessings of the covenant you made with Abraham because they are now part of your family. May the parents, seeing the change in their children, find the same blessing and adoption into your family, be freed from the curses that came from their parents and/or from what they have done, and be reconciled with their children.
