Thank you Father, for the many needs that are met through the retail stores in our city: food, clothing, recreation, furnishings, transportation, etc.
We pray for the Chapel Hills Mall, which is for sale due to bankruptcy, and for the older retail corridors in our city, for example along Academy Blvd and Union Blvd, where stores are sitting vacant and once vibrant areas are seeing decay. Give us your vision of how to bring life to these portions of our city, how to bless the people of those neighborhoods and how to bless the city as a whole with these properties and businesses.
