We pray for our city’s parks…

“The Lord owns the earth and all it contains, the world and all who live in it.” Psalms 24:1

We speak over the Park system of Colorado Springs. We declare that the Parks of this City are to be used for the constructive benefit of families, citizens and visitors of this region. Our Parks are not to be used by the enemy, and followers of the enemy, for their destructive purposes. In Jesus name, our Parks will not be used for occult meetings or rituals, drug dealing, to prey on any adult or child, for mob gatherings or other types of gathering places for evil. We forbid the Parks of our City to be used in this way. Thank you Lord for the beauty of Colorado Springs. Let all who gather in our Parks feel Your supernatural peace descend upon them. We ask for Your blessing, safety and peace to permeate every Park throughout our City.

Excellence in Teaching . . .

“But everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher”  — Luke 6:40

Jesus, You are a teacher, par excellence. You knew how to teach in the language of the people who came to You to learn.  Thank You that You desire us all to be taught well.

We lift up all of the teachers and mentors in our city and ask that you would impart to them godly wisdom to help them form character in their students.  We ask that Your Spirit would stir within them wisdom, knowledge, and creativity as they prepare and teach their students.  We pray that they would have renewed zeal for truth and virtue.  We ask that those who don’t know You as the author of all Truth would have the opportunity to meet you.

May we be channels of your blessing…

Shops…And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.  Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.  Deut 28:2-3

Thank you Father, for your desire to bless your sons and daughters, the people whom you have chosen.  Thank you for your Word that gives us your instructions on how to live and how to treat one another.

Father, we pray that the business people of Colorado Springs will follow your ways and your instructions for life.  That we will not stand in the way of the blessing that you want to give, but instead be channels and facilitators of your blessing to the city.  May our actions bring honor to your name and release the blessings of heaven so that everyone in the city can receive a portion of the blessing.

Deliver us from deception…

“You shall have no other Gods before me.” Exodus 20:3

Father, we ask for an ability to discern spirits in your church so that we may be delivered from confusion caused by the deception of enemy and his temptations to worship the idols of worldly success, mammon, fleshly pleasure, and fame.

May we learn to be Christ-centered instead of self-centered; to set our hearts on eternity instead of temporal treasures; and to seek the face of God instead of just the hand of God.  May the church leaders not consider the size of their congregations, offerings and buildings as the measuring rod for success.  May we not be blinded by materialism, unknowingly pursuing mammon while Satan lies quietly at our feet. Let us forsake the pursuit of pleasure and listen to not only the cries of the needy but also the whispers of the Holy Spirit.  Deliver us from pride in worldly success, the pursuit of worldly culture, the spirit of deception, and the spirit of division.  Help us to unite in One Voice For Transformation of Colorado Springs.  We pray in the precious name of Jesus.

Father, bless the performing arts. . .

“We shine as lights” –Phil 2:15

Lord, we bless those you are raising up to be lights in the city and region regarding the performing arts. We bless them and speak hope to them. We pray that you would raise up whole groups of artists that are trained to sing and dance, to act and direct. We pray specifically for the internet and those called to edit, direct and produce artists’ work, that they would regain hope and be strengthened with might in their inner man. We bless the fruitfulness of every ministry in these artistic realms that is located here, in local churches, para-church groups and also outside in the marketplace.

May the generations turn to each other…

“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”  Malachi 4:5-6

Father, we thank you for your spirit of adoption, that when we come to you, we are adopted into your family and you give us spiritual fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters.

We pray that the children of Colorado Springs will turn their hearts to the fathers and mothers of this city, opening their hearts to be adopted, whether it be legal or informal.  Let your healing power move through those relationships, to replenish their souls and to bring them into maturity.  Let this be a city where children grow up in the security of knowing they are loved.

We pray for the American Soldier…

“Every good & perfect gift comes down from the Father of Light”. Jas. 1:17

Lord, we bring our youth before You, the ones with servant hearts to protect the freedom and liberty You have given us.

They enlist willingly, carrying with them a hope of a different tomorrow for their children. But they’ve never met Jesus. They’re unaware they’re dead men walking into the enemy’s camp.

Because of their spiritual blindness, we ask that You target key soldiers this week. Bring them supernaturally to Yourself. Let battlebuddies see the remarkable change so there is an open door to share the good news. Release them from the political correctness that holds them in bondage and release our military to proclaim the glory of Your name. Amen.
