We pray for the end of homelessness…

Drawing inspiration from the Fight Homelessness Rally, this week we will depart from our usual format focusing on the “Seven Mountains” of culture to pray for the end of homelessness in our city. We will focus on the following roots of homelessness:

  • Abandonment: many single mothers and their children become homeless because the childrens’ father has abandoned the family and left them to fend for themselves.
  • Affliction: those with mental and physical illness become homeless because their illness drains them of their finances and limits their ability to earn a living.
  • Addiction: those addicted to drugs or to behaviors such as gambling become homeless because their addiction steals their finances and destroys their relationships.
  • Conviction: those who have been in prison become homeless because they are unable to find work or they are unable to overcome the temptations that led to their conviction.

Let’s go to the throne this week on behalf of the abandoned, afflicted, addicted, and convicted in our city!

Blessings,
The Colorado Springs Prayer Focus Team

  1. Excellent Mike.
A “bottom line” way to pray.

  2. Amen! Father move on their behalf! Open Hearts, Minds, and Pockets! You are Jehovah Jireh! God our provider! Provide what is needed in the hearts you have called to make a difference in these in whose hearts you want to make a home. Reveal yourself through your Spirit and set captives free!
