Abandonment: many single mothers and their children become homeless because the childrens’ father has abandoned the family and left them to fend for themselves.
We pray, Father, that we would become a city of fathers, where no child is left without a mentor, a provider and a protector. Help us build a culture that honors those who are family men. Empower and honor the men who keep their promises to love their wives and to partner with their wives to care for their children. Heal and restore the fathers of our city. Call and bless foster fathers across our city who will fill the gap for those who have been abandoned. Teach us to value the next generation more than our own current comfort.
