Deliverance from Deception

“You shall have no other Gods before me.” Exodus 20:3

Father, we ask for an ability to discern spirits in your church so that we may be delivered from confusion caused by the deception of enemy and his temptations to worship the idols of worldly success, mammon, fleshly pleasure, and fame.

May we learn to be Christ-centered instead of self-centered; to set our hearts on eternity instead of temporal treasures; and to seek the face of God instead of just the hand of God.  May the church leaders not consider the size of their congregations, offerings and buildings as the measuring rod for success.  May we not be blinded by materialism, unknowingly pursuing mammon while Satan lies quietly at our feet. Let us forsake the pursuit of pleasure and listen to not only the cries of the needy but also the whispers of the Holy Spirit.  Deliver us from pride in worldly success, the pursuit of worldly culture, the spirit of deception, and the spirit of division.  Help us to unite in One Voice For Transformation of Colorado Springs.  We pray in the precious name of Jesus.

Please add a comment if you prayed!

  1. God is much better than the pleasures of this world! May we see, hear, and experience that. 🙂
