“Yet, Lord, you are our father. We are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the product of your labor.” Isaiah 64:8
Father, during these times of change, may your church be like clay in your hand. Shape us and form us to the way you want. May we be able to keep the practices and attitudes that align with what you are doing and may we let go of those that don’t. May we be conservative in the sense that we retain your eternal values, righteous standards for living, and unchanging principles. But may we be progressive in the sense that we can quickly change the way that we do things to support, express and promote the things that do not change.
