We pray for displaced Mt. Shadows residents . . .

“I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,
and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them.” Amos 9:14

Father God, as we pray for the Mt. Shadows neighborhood this week, we remember all the individuals, couples and families that are still displaced because of the fire.  As the rest of the city has been able to move forward, many of those most directly affected by the fire are in the midst of “living in exile” as they wait for cleanup, insurance settlements, zoning, etc.  We ask you, Lord, for grace and divine assistance for them as they face the challenges of each day.  We thank you, too, for the elementary schools in Mt. Shadows that have made it possible for neighborhood children who are temporarily living outside the school borders to continue to attend school in Mt. Shadows.
