We pray for the mentally ill . . .

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.” Psalms 23:1-3

Lord God, you know the many mentally ill people in the Ivywild area–at Cedar Springs Hospital and just on the streets. We ask you for breakthrough in individual lives and for healing to be a common day occurrence.  As neighbors fear the addition of halfway houses and other services for the mentally ill will increase the risk to their neighborhood, we ask that your presence and your people would bring healing, hope and encouragement to all.
