Lord Jesus, we thank you for the local outreaches to our seniors this Christmas season. We pray particularly for the Be a Santa to a Senior” program, hosted by Home Instead Senior Care, to provide presents to seniors who otherwise might not receive a gift this holiday season; the Briargate Promanade Shops’ “Giving Tree Holiday Project,” providing ornaments with gift wishes for seniors; and the Silver Key Holiday Project, organizing volunteer drivers, callers and sorters for the delivery of gifts to local seniors. Bless the participating volunteers and businesses, and particularly our senior citizens. We ask, Jesus, that your presense would be with each of our region’s seniors this Christmas and into the new year. We honor them and remember them.

Lord I pray for the hearts of the families of seniors to be softened with compassion for the least of these, the weak vessels that you honor so. Let their and our hearts be reminded of your definition of observing your ONE and true religion.
“The religious observance that God the Father considers pure and faultless is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being contaminated by the world.” James 1 CJB
Let us understand the gravity of not caring for our own.
“And instruct them about this, so that they will not be open to blame. 8 Moreover, anyone who does not provide for his own people, especially for his family, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5
Thank you for answered prayer! Your daughter!
