We pray for the Broadmoor neighborhood . . .

“Do not trust in oppression
And do not vainly hope in robbery;
If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
Once God has spoken;
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God;
And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord,
For You recompense a man according to his work.” Psalms 62:10-12

Lord God, as we turn this week to the Broadmoor (Hills/Bluffs/Oaks) neighborhood, we declare that You are the ultimate source of prosperity and power.  In this area of concentrated wealth and influence in our region, we ask for blessing on those who use their financial and political influence for good and that those who use it corruptly would lose their power and influence over others. We thank you for this legacy of prosperity in our city, and we pray that the wealth of our city would be stewarded for the good of others and not for selfish gain.
