City Transformation: Living the culture of the Kingdom
- Pray for God’s spirit of adoption to take up residence in our hearts in this city so that we draw on our Kingdom inheritance and share it with one another.
Teri and Jack Brown shared a message at Saturday night’s meeting at the Tent challenging us to “Accept the Sacrifice.” If we in Colorado Springs catch what God has given us through the sacrifice of Jesus we will
- Know that we are loved beyond our comprehension
- Stop performing to earn God’s love
- Stop measuring ourselves and others to determine if we are good enough to merit God’s love
- Know that we are no longer orphans, but are adopted into God’s family and co-heirs with Christ
- Become a city where we love one another and live out the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus talked about
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” –Ephesians 2:19-22
“For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” –Romans 8:19
