We pray for the downtown churches . . .

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:3-6

Father God, we pray for the downtown churches in our city.  Thank you for the churches that are still meeting in historic church buildings and continuing the legacy of the Church in the heart of our community.  We thank you, too, for the newer downtown church plants meeting in renovated spaces.  As the old and new churches minister to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the people downtown, we pray that you would coordinate their efforts through a unified heart for this city and its people, and that you would provide for them as they provide for others.
