Integrity in the Church 2

City Transformation: Integrity in the Church

  •  Pray for local church leaders to implement effective systems of accountability and not exempt themselves because of their positions. (Ps 119:26)

We want to join prayer movements recently happening across the country praying in repentance and against corruption.  Particularly, we want to pray for the increase of integrity to reverse the influence of corruption.

The definition of corrupt is 1) guilty of dishonest practices, as bribery; lacking integrity; crooked 2) debased in character; depraved; perverted; wicked; evil

The definition of integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Proverbs 10:9 says “whoever walks in integrity walks securely.”

“God himself put it this way: ‘I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,’ says God. ‘Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I’ll be a Father to you; you’ll be sons and daughters to me.’ The Word of the Master, God.”  –2 Cor 6:16-28
