May our soldiers be bridges of peace…

Father, make the Soldiers of our city to be bridges to peace in those faraway lands where they are fighting for freedom.  It is for freedom that you have set us free.  Make our Troops as instruments of Your freedom around the world.

Let the children come to me…

Jesus, You said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children” (Matt 19:14).

We pray for our Troops as they engage the children of war in Afghanistan. Keep Your love and compassion alive in our uniformed servicemembers. Give them wisdom on how they interact with these precious innocents. Protect our men and women from speaking words or committing deeds which cause wounds to these children. Let the least of these come to You, Jesus, as they see Your Spirit reflected through our Troops. Do not allow terrorists to use these little ones to bring harm to our warriors.

Empower our military’s healers…

” Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth. He said to me, “See, I am putting my words in your mouth .” Jeremiah 1:9

O Lord, put forth your hand to touch our Troops through those in the healing ministries: medical and nursing, psychiatric and counseling, physical and occupational therapy.  Put Your life-giving and healing words in the mouths of those who minister to our brave men and women in uniform (Jeremiah 1:9). May these lay hands on our wounded warriors and immediately they receive Your healing and give glory to God (Luke 13:13).

We pray against murder/suicide in our city…

“The LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.” Genesis 4:10

As spiritual gatekeepers of the city of Colorado Springs, we cry out to heaven for Kingdom peace to rule over us.

Our city and it’s military bases have a statistical reputation for increasing murders and suicides.  We decree a reversal of this murderous curse from hell and agree with Yahweh’s holy plans for Colorado Springs to be a city of refuge, hope, healing, salvation, and life.  Lord Jesus, let your healing springs pour forth from heaven through our city gates.

Lord, GOD,  so many of our Troops fight the good fight to defend freedom in our land but sadly lose the battle on the homefront. Redeem our broken relationships and reconcil/heal fully the wounded in our city.

Give our soldiers hope…

“Eat honey, my sons (and daughters), for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste. Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off” (Prov. 24:13-14).

Father, many of our Troops despair for lack of hope.  Let the promise of Your Word over the souls of our Troops fill them with faith & hope for the future.

Lord, You alone know the plans you have for our men and women in uniform, plans of peace, and not of evil, plans to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, calm the waves…

Jesus answered, “Why are you afraid? You don’t have enough faith.” Then Jesus got up and gave a command to the wind and the waves, and it became completely calm”. Matthew 8:26

Just as Jesus stood in the boat and spoke to the storm, we speak to the storms raging in the hearts and minds of our Soldiers who return from battle.  We rebuke the winds and the waves of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and every psychiatric disorder orchestrated by hell.  In Jesus Name, we command calmness in their heart, soul, and mind.  We release the Spirit of Yahweh Rapha to calm, heal, and restore shalom in the lives of our brave Troops.

May the church lean on her lover…

“Let us rejoice and be happy
and give God glory,
because the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and the Lamb’s bride has made herself ready.
Fine linen, bright and clean, was given to her to wear.”
(The fine linen means the good things done by God’s holy people.)”
Revelation 19:7-8 NCV

O LORD, make for Yourself a holy and pure bride in Colorado Springs. Let it be said of your church here in this city, “Who is this coming out of the desert, leaning on her lover?” Song of Soloman 8:5
